Development of a knowledge base for the planning of prismatic parts inspection on CMM

    Get PDF
Inspection on coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) is based on software support for various classes of metrological tasks, i.e. Tolerances. Today, the design of a uniform inspection plan for a measuring part presents a rather complex issue due to the following: (i) metrological complexity of a measuring part; (ii) skills and knowledge of a designer / inspection planner; and (iii) software for CAI model, considered as a part of an integrated CAD-CAPP-CAM-CAI system. This issue could be addressed by the usage of expert systems that generate a conceptual inspection plan for a measuring part, based on which the inspection plan for a selected CMM could be automatically developed. This paper presents the development of a model of an automatic inspection planning system for CMMs, and, in particular, the developed knowledge base model

In order to investigate the motivation and willingness of the citizens of Serbia to buy food not treated with pesticides an anonymous Internet survey on a sample of 420 respondents was conducted. Multivariate linear regression method was used to determine the relation between the input elements (trust, risk perception and the perception of benefits) and output (motivation and willingness to buy food untreated with pesticides). The analysis showed that in Serbia there is great consumer interest in food products produced without the use of pesticides. The analysis also showed that the main motives for the purchase of food not treated with pesticides are the desire to maintain personal health and the environment. The consumers in Serbia react similarly to consumers in other countries in that concern for personal health to a larger extent, this means that egoistic motives are stronger than altruistic motives. It is concluded that the competent authorities and the chemical industry should undertake a series of measures and actions to strengthen the trust of citizens

Structural and Functional Picosecond Laser Modification of the Nimonic 263 Superalloy in Different Environmental Conditions and Optimization of the Irradiation Process

    Get PDF
In this experimental study, picosecond laser treatment was performed on a nickel-based superalloy Nimonic 263, aiming to investigate the surface effects induced by irradiation in different atmospheric conditions and, concerning changes in surface composition, regarding the possibility for improvement of its functionality. Besides the varying laser parameters, such as a number of pulses and pulse energy, environmental conditions are also varied. All surface modifications were carried out in standard laboratory conditions and a nitrogen- and argon-rich atmosphere. The resulting topography effects depend on the specific laser treatment and could be categorized as increased roughness, crater formation, and formation of the laser-induced periodic surface structures (LIPSS). Changes in the chemical surface composition are distinguished as the potential formation of the protective oxides/nitrides on the sample surface. Numerous characterization techniques analyse the resulting effects on the topography and surface parameters. The multi-response parametric optimization of the picosecond laser process was performed using an advanced statistical method based on Taguchiā€™s robust parameter design. Finally, the optimal parameter conditions for Nimonic 263 modification are suggested

Analiza nivoa poslovne standardizacije u svetu i kod nas

The development and implementation of standardized management system (SMS) has allowed that today we are talking about business standardization, as the new model of good business practices applied worldwide. ISO 9000 was the forerunner, and today is the basis of business standardization. This can be said for ISO 9001: 2015, which was edited on September 15, and he will bring new models for other SMS. This paper provides a detailed analysis of the certification process in the world, Europe, the West Balkans and Serbia on various aspects, for seven standardized management systems for 2012/2013. year, and the first example of the application the new QMS model in Serbia.

Advanced multiresponse process optimisation: an intelligent and integrated approach

    No full text
This book presents an intelligent, integrated, problem-independent method for multiresponse process optimization. In contrast to traditional approaches, the idea of this method is to provide a unique model for the optimization of various processes, without imposition of assumptions relating to the type of process, the type and number of process parameters and responses, or interdependences among them. The presented method for experimental design of processes with multiple correlated responses is composed of three modules: an expert system that selects the experimental plan based on the orthogonal arrays; the factor effects approach, which performs processing of experimental data based on Taguchiā€™s quality loss function and multivariate statistical methods; and process modeling and optimization based on artificial neural networks and metaheuristic optimization algorithms. The implementation is demonstrated usingĀ four case studies relating to high-tech industries andĀ advanced, non-conventional processes

IMS as a basis for TQM application in Serbia or TQM in Serbia ā€“ reality or fiction

    No full text
Total quality management (TQM) as an advanced quality management (QM) model has been applied worldwide, particularly in developed countries. In Serbia, quality management based on ISO 9001 model is the dominant approach found in industrial application. This is also indicated by the fact that there are about 3500 certificates for quality management systems (QMS) in Serbia today. This paper presents the analysis and synthesis of a good practice for quality management systems (IMS) and effects on the development and implementation of TQM models in our country

An intelligent approach to robust multi-response process design

    No full text
In order to meet strict customer demands in a global highly-complex industrial sector, it is necessary to design manufacturing processes based on a clear understanding of the customer's requirements and usage of a product, by translating this knowledge into the process parameter design. This paper presents an integrative, general and intelligent approach to the multi-response process design, based on Taguchi's method, multivariate statistical methods and artificial intelligence techniques. The proposed model considers process design in a general case where analytical relations and interdependency in a process are unknown, thus making it applicable to various types of processes, and incorporates customer demands for several (possible correlated) characteristics of a product. The implementation of the suggested approach is presented on a study that discusses the design of a thermosonic copper wire bonding process in the semiconductor industry, for assembly of microelectronic devices used in automotive applications. The results confirm the effectiveness of the approach in the presence of different types of correlated product quality characteristics
